• 2. Extralobar PS (EPS):
  • Segment of pulmonary parenchyma with systemic arterial supply and no connection to the tracheobronchial tree which lies outside the normal investment of the visceral pleura.
  • Majority between the lower lobe and diaphragm.
  • Rarely EPS is infradiaphragmatic.
