PULMONARY SEQUESTRATION (PS)
Term sequestration was introduced by Price (1946): Segment of lung tissue having systemic arterial supply and absence of connection with the tracheobronchial tree.
In some cases: Abnormal artery supplying a normally connectes segment of lung (sequestration spectrum).
Systemic arterial supply: Essential criterion of PS.
