PLEUROPULMONARY BLASTOMA: PATHOLOGIC FINDINGS
1. Type 1: Purely cystic; smooth and glistening cyst linings, unremarkable adjacent pulmonary parenchyma; approx. 25% of PPB are exclusively cystic.
2. Type 2: Intermediate between type 1 and 3; multiple cysts and coalescing nodules with cystic degeneration, hemorrhage, necrosis.
3. Type 3: Solid PPB; multiple white to tan, mucoid nodules.
Right lung predilection: 71%.
