PLEUROPULMONARY BLASTOMA: CLINICAL FEATURES
Initial report (Manivel et al., 1988): 11 cases in early childhood.
Age: 15-144 months (median age: 32 months).
Twenty females, 18 males.
Positive family history: 26% (childhood neoplasms,PPB).
Symptoms and signs of respiratory difficulty, fever, chest pain, cough.
Radiographic abnormalities: Multicystic transformation of a lobe, pneumothorax, opacification of hemithorax, pleural effusion, pleural or diaphragmatic mass, shift of the mediastinum.
